Thanksgiving in Zion

Oh it was freezing! We have so many memories, it made it all worth it! We went hiking a few times, sat around the fire a lot, and ate a lot. Also we went to Las Vegas and stayed a night. Here is a list of some of the exciting things we experienced:
  • Almost hit a deer, I mean we had to swerve around it.
  • Dogs everywhere!
  • Eating Thanksgiving dinner at the camp ground. Turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and pie!
  • Hiking in the ice and slipping all over.
  • Charlotte wanting to play with everything on the hikes, stopping for snow balls, and rocks and everything.
  • Charlotte loving it in Grandmas tent.
  • Charlotte throwing rocks into the river.
  • Playing Agricola in the hotel room.
  • Miga and Olive wearing ridiculous clothes.
  • Playing Chess with Charlotte and grandpa.
  • Eating at the Wynn buffet in Las Vegas.
  • Staying in the nicest La Quinta Inn I have ever been in Vegas.
  • Sitting in traffic on the way home and Charlotte having a freak out!

Dishwasher works again!

It is funny because lately my post have all been about cleaning and such. Goes to show you how exciting my life is.

Anyhow my dishwasher wasn't getting anything clean and leaving the worst soap spots all over everything. I hated doing dishes and they I kept having to clean all of them by hand. I seriously thought the dishwasher was broken or clogged. Once I washed the same load 5 times. Oh it was miserable.

Finally I decided to get Martin involved, since he kept complaining that the dishes were all dirty. He researched and found out that since our water is so hard we needed a detergent with phosphates in it. It turns out that almost all name brand detergent are phosphate free. I guess if you have a water softener then you have no issues but we don't. Online people recommended trying a product called Lemi Shine.

Off to the store to get some Lemi Shine! I was seriously amazed with the results. I can't believe the difference. It was drastic! I am so happy to wash all my dishes now. Eventually we will invest in a water softener but until then Lemi Shine will work for us!

Tide Forever!

I never knew that laundry detergent could cause me such grief. A few months ago I was grocery shopping and couldn't find Lavendar Tide, so decided to buy the generic version of another scent. I didn't really think it was a big deal at the time. So over the last few months I had been very frustrated with our clothes not getting clean and not smelling fresh. I would wash some of Charlotte's clothes like 3 times and the stains would still be there! A couple of weeks ago my mom was staying with me and doing some laundry and noticed the same issues! She told me to go get Tide. I was dubious that the detergent could make that much of a difference. But sure enough it did! Our clothes smell so much better and the stains come out so much easier. I will never ever buy a generic or any other detergent, I am a Tide user for life!

Baby Girl on her way!

If you didn't already here I am pregnant! The ultrasound tech couldn't officially say it was a girl because it is still early. My due date is March 11. This pregnancy has been less painful as the last. I have only throw up once. I have been a lot more moody and mood swingy. I can't believe Charlotte is going to be a big sister! She keeps coming up to me and saying, "baby out." It is really cute!

Gymnastic Dream

Have you ever had a funny dream that could have totally happened in the past? So last night I dreamed about gymnastics. I was at practice and stuck on bars! My coach gave me an assignment of 2 full routines. We had just come back from a week off and this was difficult for most of us since we hadn't done routines in a week and we were out of shape. Normally 2 routines is a really easy assignment. My routine was the same as it was when I was a gymnast. We were all stuck on bars forever. I remember I kept falling over on my cast and couldn't finish the routine. Then I was scared of my geinger. I was never scared of a geinger! Then I lost one of my grips. Also my friend Maggie was scared of her release move. Finally after I did a make-shift routine, my coach let me be done. I also remember Neela and one of my old coaches Clay had the rest of the team doing conditioning. So I really had no motivation to finish my assignment faster. The funny thing was we weren't in a gym that I recognized and lots of the other gymnast I didn't know. Also the coach on bars wasn't one of my old coaches.

Visitting my mommy!

This past weekend we took a trip to the Navajo reservation to show Martin what he has been missing! We stayed with my aunts and mom in Flagstaff and drove to Tuba City, Kayenta and Monument Valley. It was so nice to eat some good meals and spend time with relative I haven't been around in years. Charlotte had a lot of fun playing with 2nd cousins and being drug along to do tourist stuff.

In Monument Valley they have a new hotel and visitors center. Outside the visitors center they offer 1.5 and 2.5 hour jeep tours of the rock formation. My mom went and talked to the people got us a free 2.5 hour tour, we just had to tip the driver. I guess speaking to them in Navajo goes a long way when you are on the Rez.

On our way back to Flagstaff we stopped in Tuba City to show Martin where my parents grew up and where I was born. We also visited my aunt Brenda. Outside of Tuba there is a spot where you can see dinosaur tracks so we took a look around there also.

The next day we decided to head to Oak Creek and then home. Kiva(our dog) and Charlotte were not fans of the cold water. KC our little dog loved the water. After we sat by the creek for a while we ate lunch in the back of my aunts truck and then headed home.

I didn't even get any pictures with my mom...that is so annoying!

Execising = Fail

So I started week 4 and noticed that none of my clothes were fitting me. I felt tired all the time. Like besides working and working out I was a lump of nothing. I also got so bored with the videos. I tried to do other things like bike riding and jogging on the cardio days just to mix it up a little bit but I found myself dreading the thought of any exercise. So I decided to take a week off. So this Sunday I was suppose to start up again but I have a horrible head cold and don't feel like doing anything. I think I am going to try to make myself my own plan. Walking, biking and yoga...instead of all the bulking up exercises. I also want to start being more strict with my diet. I kinda feel like a failure. It is so annoying that my body is fatty. I mean my fat cells are just so big and when I start exercising my muscles just get bigger and my fat cells stay the same so I just bulk up. I have had this issue forever. I think I really need to focus on my diet to eliminate the bad food causing me to stay bulky.
