Baby Gifts!

My good friend Melissa made this cute little baby carriage out of diapers. Seriously cute. The best thing about it is is I get to use the fabric, flowers and ribbons for crafts!

At the gym the gymnast had a baby shower for me. One of the moms made the cutest diaper cake I have ever seen. It had so many cute little items tucked into it too!

I am so thankful to have so many people to welcome our new baby girl to the world!

I am 27!

Seriously I feel old all of a sudden! I mean seriously, 27!

This birthday I told martin all I wanted was a new desk area. I hated our other desk. It was too small and annoying. We didn't have much money to spend on the project so We headed to ikea. We picked up everything but the desk legs from the scratch and dent area. Ended up spending $40 on the new desk. So far I am loving it!

Thank you Martin! :-D

This year I have many goals for myself!

  1. Get this baby out of my belly. This has been such a hard pregnancy emotionally. I just want to be done with it!
  2. Save more money on groceries and cook more!
  3. De-clutter and organize the house
  4. Start jogging and exercising as soon as the baby is here
  5. Pass the level 7/8 judges test
  6. Develop a cleaning schedule for myself

Sick!

The last week I was so sick! I am just posting about it to remind myself to go to the doctor sooner next time! It all started with some body ache and sore throat, I thought it was just going to be cold that I would get over in few days. I decided to go to Oakland for a planned trip. The whole time I was there I wanted to come home. Every night I would cough all night and I think I drank a couple of gallons of Chamomile tea with honey but it didn't help. Poor Martin had to deal with me, I felt so bad. As soon as I got off the plane on Monday we decided to head to Urgent Care since my cough wasn't getting any better. My back and throat hurt so bad from coughing, I was miserable. Turns out I have bronchitis. When I was younger I used to get bronchitis all the time. I had to go on antibiotics, hopefully baby #2 is ok. I really didn't want to take antibiotics but I would rather not get pneumonia or something more serious. Now I am feeling much better. I still have problems coughing during the night but at least I don't feel like I am dying.

Thanksgiving in Zion

Oh it was freezing! We have so many memories, it made it all worth it! We went hiking a few times, sat around the fire a lot, and ate a lot. Also we went to Las Vegas and stayed a night. Here is a list of some of the exciting things we experienced:
  • Almost hit a deer, I mean we had to swerve around it.
  • Dogs everywhere!
  • Eating Thanksgiving dinner at the camp ground. Turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and pie!
  • Hiking in the ice and slipping all over.
  • Charlotte wanting to play with everything on the hikes, stopping for snow balls, and rocks and everything.
  • Charlotte loving it in Grandmas tent.
  • Charlotte throwing rocks into the river.
  • Playing Agricola in the hotel room.
  • Miga and Olive wearing ridiculous clothes.
  • Playing Chess with Charlotte and grandpa.
  • Eating at the Wynn buffet in Las Vegas.
  • Staying in the nicest La Quinta Inn I have ever been in Vegas.
  • Sitting in traffic on the way home and Charlotte having a freak out!

Dishwasher works again!

It is funny because lately my post have all been about cleaning and such. Goes to show you how exciting my life is.

Anyhow my dishwasher wasn't getting anything clean and leaving the worst soap spots all over everything. I hated doing dishes and they I kept having to clean all of them by hand. I seriously thought the dishwasher was broken or clogged. Once I washed the same load 5 times. Oh it was miserable.

Finally I decided to get Martin involved, since he kept complaining that the dishes were all dirty. He researched and found out that since our water is so hard we needed a detergent with phosphates in it. It turns out that almost all name brand detergent are phosphate free. I guess if you have a water softener then you have no issues but we don't. Online people recommended trying a product called Lemi Shine.

Off to the store to get some Lemi Shine! I was seriously amazed with the results. I can't believe the difference. It was drastic! I am so happy to wash all my dishes now. Eventually we will invest in a water softener but until then Lemi Shine will work for us!
